Tandem skydives offer the full skydiving experience without the need for
extended classrooms and written exams. After you arrive at "Skydive Jersey Shore",
you will receive a briefing that covers the legal side of tandem skydiving
(Tandem jumps operate under an FAA waiver.) Once your paperwork is filled out,
you will attend a tandem skydiving class. The class lasts approx. 30 minutes and will cover:
-Tandem Skydiving equipment
-Safety
-Aircraft exit
-Psychological aspects
-Freefall Mechanics
-How parachutes fly
-Landing
You will then be prepared to experience your first skydive.
On the ride to over 2 miles high, you'll get a scenic view of the ocean and the NYC skyline on a clear day.
Your tandem instructor will securely attach you to the dual harness parachute system.
You'll exit the aircraft together, and freefall for up to 60 seconds with your instructor right behind you.
After your parachute is opened,
You will enjoy a breathtaking flight that will last another 4 to 6 minutes.
You'll have an opportunity to steer the parachute, and you'll be amazed at how versatile it is.
Take in the scenery on a peaceful ride back, or get whipped around like you're on a roller coaster - you decide!

Our normal limit is 220 lbs, but students are always evaluated on a case by case basis.
